WTCA Board Meeting in London

LONDON, UK - WTCA Board members held their second regular board meeting of 2014 on Sept. 27-28 in London. The primary focus of the two-day meeting was to explore alternative ways to assist Members in developing WTC facilities and implementing trade services. In addition, the Board approved a new basic certification program aimed at making WTCA certification status more available to Members.

WTCA’s CEO, Eric Dahl, briefed the Board on enhancements to the Association’s digital platform and progress in updating and integrating the WTCA’s databases, with the goal of making more information about the WTCA network available to all Members. WTCA’s EVP, Bella Heule, reported on the excellent preparations being made by WTC Metro Manila and Headquarters for the 2015 General Assembly in Manila on April 26-29.

The WTCA Directors also reviewed the Nominations & Compensation Committee’s preparations for the 2015 Board election, the Audit & Risk Committee’s work on internal audit and governance matters, the Executive Committee’s work on new business opportunities, and Headquarters’ reports on financial and legal matters.

The WTCA Directors agreed to hold their final meeting of the year on Dec. 6-7, when the Board will consider the WTCA’s business plan and budget for 2015.
