SAVANNAH, GA, USA – On September 9, World Trade Center Savannah (WTC Savannah) hosted members of the Hubstart Paris Airports Alliance, a network of private and public organizations, at a national, regional and local level who offer the necessary support for establishing a business in the Greater Paris CDG & Le Bourget Airport Area. The event provided an opportunity for the French delegation to learn more about Savannah, Georgia’s economy, the Georgia Ports Authority, the Savannah/Hilton Head International airport and the opportunities which exist in the region.
The event began with a tour of the Port of Savannah where the delegation learned about the fastest growing and fourth largest port in North America. Following the tour, the delegation visited with the Mayor of the City of Savannah followed by a representative of the Savannah College of Art and Design where they learned about the college’s sustainability program. The day concluded with an overview of the Savannah economy, highlighting Savannah’s key industries, assets and services provided by the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) as well as an overview of the region’s airport presented by Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport Executive Director, Gregory Kelly.
