MOSCOW, RUSSIA - A launch of unique web-based project in fall 2014 is designed to unlock the potential of Russian exports. It will provide a consolidated database of Russian and foreign exporters as well as offer a number of options to allow domestic businesses to participate in development of free trade areas worldwide.

The project is initiated by the World Trade Center Moscow, which has been working for several decades to build a dialogue between businesses and the government, to promote the expansion of trade, to help raise investments and ensure an effective technology transfer. With support of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RF CCI), the WTC Moscow has developed a web-based information portal with “my profile” and feedback features. A platform for this purpose was provided by website of Kommersant Publishing House, one of the Russian topquoted mass media of recent years. Its website is visited by more than 7 million unique users seeking the most updated business and political information daily.

“The Project is supposed to reach every reading person who is concerned about trading globally and is looking for opportunities to promote his products to new markets. Everybody engaged in business activity is normally an advanced Internet user today, therefore the outreach is expected to be tremendous”, Vladimir Salamatov, WTC Moscow Director General said to Kommersant.

The ambitious goal of the project is to promote the world trade by enabling the small and medium size enterprises to approach international markets. There is a plenty of small businesses in Russia offering the outstanding, exciting and original goods, which their prospects and partners have never heard of.

Participation in the project will give businesses an access to a modern and convenient platform for search of trade partners internationally, an opportunity to declare their commitment to the development of trade relations with particular countries and share concerns about the barriers they face.

Also, the project designers promise to inform the wide business circles about the progress of Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) discussions concerning the establishment of free trade areas.
