WTC Almere (metropolitan area Amsterdam) will be hosting the first TWA Premium Race in the Benelux. In 2012 and 2013 the event was organized as a race for business teams. This year an individual competition will be added, where athletes can earn points for the Towerrunning World Cup. The WTC Trappenloop starts in front of the WTC and leads through the parking garage (14 meters under sea level). Afterwards approximately 600 steps have to me mastered before reaching the finish at the 30th floor (120 meters in altitude). All participants of the 2014 WTC Trappenloop support Parkhuys, a local organization which helps people who have or had cancer.
The top-ranked international Towerrunning athletes are invited to receive travel packages for the event comprising a night of free accommodation in Almere, travel reimbursement of 100 Euro and lunch at the WTC restaurant. The top 20 male and female athletes according to the current Towerrunning World Cup standings (as of January 26) can apply for such a travel package by contacting TWA Sports Director Daniel Cecetka (dc@towerrunning.com) till February 28, 10:00 pm Central European Time. Ten athletes will be selected, the six best-placed applicants and four further top 20 athletes by lottery.
