Sales pitcher at Home Depot: a golden opportunity!

Apr 27, 2014

WINNIPEG, MB, CANADA - On April 3, 2014, the World Trade Centre Winnipeg accompanied five Manitoba entrepreneurs to Toronto for a series of meetings aimed at boosting their companies’ sales through the Home Depot chain.

The Home Depot event gave five businesses the opportunity to take part in a 20-minute one-on-one meeting with the specific buyer for their product line. Twenty minutes to convince Home Depot to put their products on its shelves – a golden opportunity provided by the WTC Winnipeg!

Earl Loewen, manager at Norstar Industries, has his sights set on winning over the U.S. and Mexican markets. “We want our products to be in Home Depot stores when we return from this meeting. Chances are good, since the kind of surface drainage system we manufacture is not currently available in Home Depot stores, so there is no competition!”

All of the participants were pleased with this opportunity headed up by the WTC Winnipeg. “If the WTC Winnipeg had not called to tell me about the possibility of the Home Depot meetings, I would have never known about it. I can’t thank them enough,” said Colleen Brennan-Vandersteen.
