TOKYO, JAPAN - Mr. Greg Dandewich of WTC Winnipeg in Canada was introduced to us by WTCA (Mr. Scott Wang) and visited our office on February 25th (Tues). Winnipeg is the capital city of Manitoba and has a population of 778,000 people. It is located in the geographic center of North America and is the hub of Mid-Continental Trade Corridor. Therefore it has an advanced transportation and distribution establishments. The electricity rate is very low due to local hydro-electric energy sources and there is a concentration of industries such as transportation, agribusiness, aerospace and life science. There are also universities and research institutions to support the industry.
WTC Winnipeg was established 2 years ago by the backup of the State & City Government, Chamber of Commerce and Corporations to mainly support the medium and small companies to extend their business activities abroad.
WTC Tokyo will cooperate with WTC Winnipeg to introduce companies and exchange information with each other and assist those companies to facilitate mutual trade and investment.
