WTC signed special Agreement with Rostov region

ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA - Today at 18th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2014) the Cooperation Agreement between Moscow World Trade Center and the government of the Rostov Region has been adopted. The Agreement has been ratified by Governor of the Rostov Region Vasilij Golubev and by General Director of WTC in Moscow Vladimir Salamatov.

The signing ceremony was attended by a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, headed by its President Sergey Katyrin. Participants of the event draw attention to the need of the region’ trade and economic development promotion and the establishment of long-term collaboration aimed at maintaining and strengthening its competitiveness.

The Agreement sets a win-win partnership, ensures joint actions, and coordinates the analysis of prospects for mutually advantageous relation’s evolution as well as working out and implementation of collective consulting projects in the following areas:
- Scope and application of the WTO Agreements and Regulations as an instrument of countermeasure against unfair competition;
- Technical regulation;
- Market analysis;
- Development of recommendations for business associations of the region concerning the adaptation of national producers in terms of Russia's membership in the WTO, the Customs Union and Common Economic Space (CES);
- Assistance to business organizations of the Rostov Region in the sphere of international trade, investment and foreign economic activity;
- Informational and analytical support and cooperation.

The conduction of professional trainings by the experts from WTC Moscow’ special project “Russia in the WTO” for regional business and authorities likewise the organization of joint activities in the Rostov region and beyond are also one of up to date topics.
