Jun 02, 2014

MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Yesterday, on International Children's Day, World Trade Center held a feast for orphans and children left without parental care, organized by World Trade Center Moscow jointly with the Charity Fund “Homeless Children's Assistance Center” of the RF CCI.

This event has already become a tradition, this year it was held in a building on Krasnopresnenskaya St., 12 for the 7th time. As in previous years, the festival gathered orphans not only from Moscow City and Moscow region, but also from other regions of the Russian Federation such as Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, Ryazan, Yaroslavl and Tver.

Young guests of WTC Moscow were greeted by the CCI Vice-president Vladimir Strashko, who congratulated everyone on the occasion and wished them happiness. “On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation and its president Sergei Katyrin, who heads the Charity Fund, I would like to thank you for being our guests today”, - addressed the children Strashko.

The RF CCI Vice-president stressed that in addition to holiday spirit the guests from orphanages will get valuable gifts from organizers, such as multimedia set-top TV boxes for watching DVD and playing video games. “It would be great if while playing these consoles you’ll remembered today’s meeting”, - concluded Vladimir Strashko.

General Director of World Trade Center, Vladimir Salamatov, also welcomed the children. He noticed that daily atmosphere inside WTC quarters completely differs from that of a children’s feast. “Every day here, in this building very serious people discuss important issues and deal with various crucial matters. Yet today they said: we vacate this place for you, so that you could have fun and enjoy the festival”, - said Vladimir Salamatov.

WTC’ Moscow CEO also expressed his hope that World Trade Center team not only managed to organize an interesting feast program, but also gave children a boost of good mood and vivid impressions. “I sincerely wish you happiness, good health and all the best!” – closed his remarks Vladimir Salamatov.

Director General of the Charity Fund “Homeless Children's Assistance Center” of the RF CCI Leonid Romanov pointed out that this year’s event is attended by young guests from 12 orphanages from different parts of the country.

“Every year we get an impressive amount of applications from orphanages that want to take part in the festival. People share information with each other about the event, note that it is beautiful and interesting, the number of those wishing to participate is constantly growing”, - said Leonid Romanov.

The festival program was extraordinary rich. More than 450 children who arrived at WTC quarters took part in various contests, played in board games in “Amusement Zone”, were drawing intricate patterns in the “Zone for drawing and aqua make-up”, enthusiastically created ikebana in the “Zone of floristic and decoupage”, and studied art of make-up in the “Beauty Zone”.

Especially exciting appeared to be interactive activities that included the demonstration of wonders of science in “Interesting Chemistry” section. The performance of magicians struck the imagination not only of young visitors but of all the adults.

The evening culminated in gorgeous eye-catching “Transformers Show”, which consisted not only of competitions and quizzes, but also included magnificent dance party. All kids were happy to see in live-action heroes of the present day – Transformers, robots from popular films and comic books that actively communicated with young guests of WTC and even taught them some dance moves.
