MOSCOW, RUSSIA - Vladimir Salamatov, General Director of the World Trade Center Moscow, is taking part in the 45th General Assembly of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), which is held this year in Bucharest, Romania, from April 27 to 30.
Part of the second day of the General Assembly will be devoted to business talks, a cultural program, and a few sessions, including ones called “Trade Finance — Powering the Engine of Global Growth”, “The Relationship Between International Trade and Energy,” and “How Technology Shapes the New Landscape of International Trade”.
The first section will cover trade issues related to financing trade in a prolonged global economic uncertainty and opportunities of having new evolving trade finance instruments. The second discussion will address reducing trade barriers, opening markets in energy services and products, searching out sustainable solutions to deal with the effects of climate change.
And the participants attending the third section will share insight into how technology enables globalization: breaking down entrenched barriers to importing and exporting; building confidence in cross-border transactions; and on the role of business owners and government in making electronic commerce more easily accessible.
One of the key events scheduled for Day 3 of the General Assembly is a plenary session of the World Trade Centers Association which WTC delegates only are invited to attend. The meeting will provide the members with pertinent information on the WTCA’s finances and strategic initiatives. Within the framework of the session, there will be organized an EMEA plenary regional meeting of delegates representing WTCs based in a few key macro regions, such as Europe, Middle East and Africa.
