Program Highlights
Wednesday, February 12, 2025 - Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) – Greater Vancouver Cohort
We proudly celebrated the graduation of our 40th TAP Greater Vancouver cohort, featuring an outstanding group of businesses that exemplify innovation, resilience, and a global mindset. This diverse cohort represents industries spanning skincare, AI, agriculture, and advanced technology with each company bringing a unique offering to the global market. Their commitment to growth and export excellence is a testament to Vancouver’s entrepreneurial strength.
TAP Graduates:
With global trade policies continuously evolving, our first webinar of the year provided businesses with crucial insights into managing U.S. tariffs and compliance requirements. Experts guided attendees through strategies to mitigate risks and maintain competitiveness amid regulatory shifts, equipping them with practical tools to navigate the complexities of cross-border trade.
We are thrilled to announce renewed funding from Pacific Can, ensuring the continued success of the Trade Accelerator Program for the next five cohorts. This investment is a testament to the program’s impact on helping businesses scale beyond Canada’s borders. We extend our sincere thanks to Pacific Can for their commitment to fostering economic growth and export excellence.
Digital transformation is reshaping industries worldwide, and the creative sector is no exception. This workshop explored how AI-driven tools can enhance efficiency, creativity, and business operations for companies in the creative space. From automating repetitive tasks to unlocking new creative possibilities, participants left with actionable knowledge to integrate digital innovations into their workflows.
Expanding into new international markets requires a solid understanding of local business landscapes. Our first Market Information Session of the year focused on Mexico, a key trading partner for Canada. Business owners gained firsthand insights into regulatory frameworks, banking systems and cultural considerations, making this an invaluable session for those planning to engage with Mexico’s dynamic economy.
As Canadian businesses seek new opportunities beyond the U.S., this webinar explored the vast potential of Canada’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). We examined strategies to leverage FTAs effectively, providing actionable insights for companies looking to diversify their market reach.
This session provided insights on overcoming regulatory barriers, optimizing logistics, and accessing funding for Canadian market expansion. Industry experts shared strategies for scaling across provinces, navigating procurement challenges, and strengthening domestic supply chains. Attendees included businesses, supply chain professionals, and organizations exploring interprovincial trade opportunities.
