WTC Goa's initiatives for Women's Day 2026

March 11, 2026 - In the runup to the celebrations for International Women’s Day 2026, World Trade Center Goa (WTC Goa) on 6th March 2026, launched two significant women-centric initiatives – EnterprisingWomen@WTC Goa and BusinessStudio@WTC Goa – aimed at empowering entrepreneurs and strengthening the regional business ecosystem. EnterprisingWomen@WTC Goa will focus on identifying and nurturing women entrepreneurs across Goa. The initiative seeks to support women-led enterprises by addressing their skilling needs, providing capacity-building programs, and training their personnel in improved management practices. The goal is to enhance product quality, increase productivity, and improve the overall economic profitability of women-run enterprises, enabling them to scale their businesses sustainably. BusinessStudio@WTC Goa will complement this effort by promoting member businesses and helping them leverage opportunities in global markets. The initiative will serve as a platform to guide enterprises on trade readiness, market access and international business linkages, thereby strengthening their participation in global trade networks. Both initiatives will be led by an exclusive women-led team at WTC Goa, reflecting the organization’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic growth and creating stronger opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the state. Carving a brighter future for MSMEs

June 28, 2024 - World MSME Day 2024 was organized on 27 June 2024 by World Trade Center Goa along with the MSME Development & Facilitation Office Goa (MSME DFO) , Goa State Industries Association (GSIA) EDC Ltd ( Government of Goa) and Goa Technology Association (GTA) Ms. Swetika Sachan, IAS, Secretary, Industries, Trade & Commerce, Government of Goa, addressed the delegates on the new initiatives that the Government of Goa has implemented for development of MSMEs in Goa. Other prominent Goan Industry leaders who also addressed the delegates, included Mr. B. S. Angle, Managing Director, EDC Ltd, Mr. Rajkumar Kamat, Executive Director BNI Goa, Mr. D R Johari, Assistant Director, MSME DFO, Mr. Sujeet Shetty, President, GTA, Mr. Vinay Verma, Honorary Secretary, Vibrant Goa Foundation and Mr. Cyril Desouza, Assistant Director - Trade Promotion, World Trade Center Goa Presentations on various Financial schemes and Technology adaptation for MSMES were ably done by Mr. John De Souza, Deputy General Manager, EDC Ltd, Mr. D. WTCA Day 2024 @ WTC Goa

June 14, 2024 - The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) is a diverse network connecting business globally. Today WTC Goa successfully celebrated the 22nd Anniversary of the WTCA and our Global Business community on 12th June 2024 at Panaji Goa. World Trade Center Goa (WTC Goa) fosters growth and global connections by collaborating with local businesses and gives them a global connect via the solid network of the WTCA which has in its fold close to 300 WTC located in more than 90 Countries. . The event started out with the introduction of the 6 MoUs the WTC Goa has signed with Global WTCs based in Cyprus, Poland, Algiers, France, Netherlands and Armenia. The brain storming session that followed brought to light a slew of Goan Products and Services that can be offered to the WTCs. Green Building Concepts, Metals & Metallurgy, Medical Tourism, health / wellness & Yoga, Goan Spices & Masalas, Engineering & Financial Services, Ship Design, Ship Building and Ship repairs, Agricultural products, ready to eat millet products, All types of Tea, Traditional attire - Kunbi Sarees and M.I.C.E services were shortlisted to be offered for the Global Markets. Goan Masalas ready to enter the UK market

April 30, 2024 - Goan Ready to Cook Masalas ready to enter the UK Market Hospitality, Culture and Cuisine is what makes Goa known across the globe and it reflects in the Tourism Sector that is doing so well in projecting Goa as a go-to and must-visit place for the international and domestic tourists. However, what little is known is that Goan diaspora are well settled across the globe and they crave for the food from their home town Goa which is not readily available in the foreign shores they have settled in. Many Goan companies have taken up the challenge of creating Goan Ready to cook masalas which need very little cooking time once the masalas are added to the Meats or Fish dishes. The same can be cooked after a few minutes of margination. The United Kingdom (UK) has a large number of Goan Diaspora and Mr Remedios Baretto and independent Goan businessmen settled in the UK was introduced to Julyn Enterprises makers of a different variety of Goan Ready to Cook Masalas. The Julyn Enterprises have a wide Range of masalas, pickles and spices and Mr Baretto was happy with the samples shown, he was very positive in making a mark in the UK with the Julyn Products.
