On November 8, 2025, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC) and Becamex Group held a working session to strengthen collaboration in training, research, technology development, innovation, and smart urban development.
The meeting gathered senior leaders from both sides, with Permanent Vice Minister of Science and Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan joining as a special guest.
VNU-HCMC emphasized its commitment to expanding cooperation with Becamex — a leading developer in industrial infrastructure and innovation. Both sides agreed that deeper collaboration will help build a strong ecosystem connecting academia, industry, and government, supporting regional and national development.
Key cooperation areas discussed include high-quality human resource training, startup and technology incubation, joint laboratories, student internships, applied research, and the development of the VNU-HCMC Innovation Center.
Becamex Chairman Mr. Nguyen Van Hung reaffirmed the corporation’s commitment to supporting VNU-HCMC in building a sustainable knowledge–technology–innovation ecosystem.
Vice Minister Vu Hai Quan highlighted that the long-standing partnership provides an ideal foundation for co-developing strategic technologies and shared research facilities.
The session marks a new phase of partnership between the two institutions as they work toward advancing Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem and contributing to Ho Chi Minh City’s vision of becoming a leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia.
