BHUBANESWAR, INDIA - WTC Bhubaneswar participated at the Odisha MSME Trade Fair organized by Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of Odisha. Odisha MSME Trade Fair is an annual event organized by the Department of MSME, Government of Odisha with an objective to provide an enabling platform to MSMEs for exploring new market and expose them to technological advancements. The fair was inaugurated by Hon’ble chief Minister of Odisha on 8th January 2016.

Seminars on topics of Food Processing, Tourism, Vendor Developments, Cluster Developments, Credit Flow and Export promotion were conducted along with the Trade Fair. Buyer's Sellers Meet (B 2 B & B 2 C) having investors from both Odisha and outside Odisha from various domain of small and medium enterprise especially Food Processing, Plant & Machinery Suppliers, Technology and Service providers etc. were an integral part of the fair.

The fair was jointly organized by Directorate of Export Promotion & Marketing (DEP&M), Directorate of Industries and Odisha Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (OSIC) and supported by All Industries Associations of the State. Several Corporate, Central & State Government Departments and PSUs, Large and Mega Industries, Service Providers, Banks, Financial Institutions, Educational Training Institutions, etc. participated in the said trade fair. More than 300 exhibitors representing sectors like Engineering & Metal Based, Drugs & Chemicals, Plastic & Polymers, Agro Based & Food Processing Industries, Information Technologies / ITES / ESDM, Textile & Readymade Garments, Handloom & Handicrafts, Transport & Tourism and Packaging participated in the fair.

WTC Bhubaneswar showcased its services by setting up a booth at this event. On an average 40-50 business visitors daily interacted with the officials at the exhibition stall. WTC Bhubaneswar provided Export guidance at the booth and many have shown interest in associating with WTC Bhubaneswar to enhance their business interest. As part of the trade fair WTC organized a workshop on the topic “Strategy for Augmentation of Exports from Odisha” on the 12th January of the fair ground.
