Second degree with honors: Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Vladimir Salamatov completed a postgraduate course at MADI and a PhD program at Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy.

1983 – 1995: Mr. Salamatov pursued a career in university teaching and research.
1995 – 2004: Occupied top management positions in commercial banks, including the JSC “Eurofinance” and JSC “Vneshtorgbank”.
2004 – 2008: Deputy Director and then Director of Department at the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation.
2008-2012: Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation
On April 27, 2012 Vladimir Salamatov was appointed Director General of World Trade Center Moscow.
Member of the Board of Directors of the World Trade Center Association.
Member of the Board of Directors of CJSC “Expocentre”.
Since 2012: Chairman of the Committee on economic integration of the SCO (the Shanghai Cooperation Organization) and CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States).
