Evert Jan Schouwstra, Managing Director, World Trade Center Leeuwarden

After working at the international level (export to more than 60 countries for several companies and organizations for 20 years, I took up a post as Senior Trade Consultant at the Chamber of Commerce in 2005. There I was given the opportunity to share my work experience with the corporate sector in the North. In addition to giving advice to individual companies and organizing various trade missions, I am the secretary of the Frisian Export Club, and I am on the advisory boards for International Business and Management Studies in Leeuwarden and the Confucius Institute in Groningen. I am also a guest lecturer in Emerging Markets and a specialist in doing business with China at the Eurochambres International Academy. Since 1 September 2011 I have combined my post at the Chamber of Commerce with being the director of the WTC Leeuwarden cooperation.

My objective is to let our region and as many businesses as possible benefit from the unique WTC concept. I will do everything I can to develop our network, our activities and our services in such a way that being affiliated to us is seen as an obvious choice. I hope to see you soon.
