WTC San Francisco Rolls out FDI Program

May 19, 2014

At the recent General Assembly in Bucharest the new World Trade Center San Francisco presented an FDI program that could become a major fundraiser for interested WTCs.

The program is based on the US Government’s EB-5 Immigrant Investor Visa program. Via the EB-5 program those families who put at least $500,000 into a qualifying investment can gain green cards for all family members under the age of 21.

The WTC San Francisco has developed a pilot program whereby those WTCs who help successfully recruit investors into a WTC San Francisco coordinated bond project can earn $25,000 per investor.

A video introducing the program being offered to all WTCs is available at this link: http://bit.ly/Sb26NU.

The World Trade Center San Francisco is developing programs to help train your own staff and will work with you in developing an appropriate local marketing program. WTC San Francisco staff will also help with your presentations to investors either via Skype or coming out in person to help get the program going in your own country.

Approximately a dozen WTCs expressed interest in participating in this program at the GA. Immediately after the GA, WTC San Francisco President Anthony Hemstad went to Serbia to present this program as well to the very interested WTC Belgrade.

There are many other prospects for WTCs to further develop FDI as a core competency. This is a pilot program with a very clear financial benefit to interested WTCs. We hope that other WTCs also work to develop more FDI programs for us to share among WTCs that will eventually help make WTCs the “go-to” location for FDI.
