The Cross-Straits Textile and Clothing Fair (STCF) is held in China's famous casual wear city--,Shishi,each year from Apr.18 to Apr.21.STCF,as an international and nationwide textile and apparel fair,focuses on the themes of "China Mainland and Taiwan, Leisure, Large Scale,Profession,and Fashion", in a bid to boost the industrial cooperation between China Mainland and Taiwan Straits and promote the trading exchange home and abroad.The extraordinary leader ship and industrial cluster advantage are fully embodied in Shishi city through the participation of thousands of exhibitors and 300,000 sq m covering area. Moreover,the exhibition also provides diversified and characteristic activities,being honorably deemed as the best one of local professional exhibitions.
   As the China's famous city for casual wear, Shishi is located at the west coast of Taiwan Strait, adjacent to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, enjoying the unique regional advantages. It is the China's famous distributing center and source region for the textile and clothing industry. Since 1992, Shishi has held more than ten commodity fairs targeted garments for consecutive years. In 1995, the STCF was confirmed to be held in Shishi. With the increasing influence and effect of fairs, the STCF became a professional and economic and trade grand fair hosted by Fujian Provincial People’s Government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China National Textile and Apparel Council, etc. in 1998. As a national and international textile and clothing grand fair, the STCF takes "Promoting the cross-strait industries development as well as economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries" as the main purpose, "Gathering together in garment city and jointly expanding the Taiwan and mainland market" and "Taiwan, specialty, leisure, and fashion" as the philosophy, as well as "Promoting Shishi and Fujian textile garment industrial development" as the target in order to continuously improve the fair level, expand fair scale, and make every fair have a new feeling.
