Global network of direct destinations rises from 317 to 323

Schiphol Amsterdam Airport saw, a rise of 3 per cent compared to 2012 and a new record. Cargo saw growth from August onwards and reached more than 1.5 million tonnes, an increase of 3.5 per cent. 

The number of aircraft movements in 2013 increased by 0.5 per cent to almost 426,000, and the number of direct destinations served from Schiphol rose from 317 to 323.

Jos Nijhuis, Schiphol Group's President and CEO, announced the provisional figures at the company's New Year's reception Jan 6.
