• Air freight markets in November surged, rising 6% on a year ago, up on October growth of 4%; 

• November is typically a strong month, but volumes rose strongly even after accounting for seasonal impacts;
• The increase in FTKs is consistent with an improving business environment;
• The global result was driven by a strong increase in Asia Pacific (4.9%);
• European carriers also recorded strong rise (8.0%), with the Eurozone showing signs of further growth in Q4;
• Load factors have turned up after continued decline throughout much of 2013, now finally above year ago levels;
• The outlook continues to improve slowly, in line with a steadily improving business environment;
• Business confidence increases, growing export leads to a pick-up in world trade growth;
