The World Trade Center Association's Vice President, Asia Pacific Scott Wang to visit the Chongqing World Trade Center

February 15,2012. The World Trade Center Asia Development Scott Wang visited the Chongqing World Trade Center. Chairwoman of Chongqing World Trade Center Ms Li Shirong, and Secretary-General Mr. Spencer Wu gave a warm reception to Scott Wang, and accompanied him to visit Chongqing Urban Planning Exhibition Gallery and the Chongqing World Trade Center in "Rising Sun Taipei City". 

In the conference room of Chongqing Foreign Economic and Trade Commission, Chairwoman Li Shirong introduced Chongqing World Trade Center's restructuring, development planning and philosophy. Subsequently, Scott Wang introduced development positioning of the new headquarters of the World Trade Center and the development plan in the Asia-Pacific region. He pointed out that China was the focus of the global development of the World Trade Center, and Chongqing, as a central city in western China, naturally became the focus of the headquarter. He came to Chongqing on behalf of headquarters in Asia Pacific region to better understand Chongqing and boost the development of World Trade Center in the entire western China.
Afterwards, Scott Wang, led by Secretary-General Mr. Spencer Wu, visited the Chongqing Urban Planning Exhibition Gallery and gained a comprehensive understanding of the geographical, economic and cultural situation of Chongqing. Subsequently, they visited Xiyong, the core area of the laptop industry of Chongqing. After getting a comprehensive understanding microelectronics industry and logistics industry in Xiyong, they came to sales department of "Rising Sun Taipei City", where Chongqing World Trade Center was to be set up. Mr. Spencer Wu introduced in details to Scott Wang the project construction plan, exhibition plan, as well as future development plan.

After the visit, Scott Wang said Chongqing and Chongqing WTC has a great potential for development. With the advantages of the western region undertaking the coastal industrial transfer, Chinese and foreign capital, brand and management, blending in here, made Chongqing the most valuable investment hotspot. He also said, in the second half of this year, Xiamen would hold the "16th China International Investment and Trade Fair" forthcoming world attention, where he would recommend the global World Trade Center delegation to visit Chongqing, and serve as an ambassador of Chongqing to connect those who were interested to invest in Chongqing.

In addition, Secretary-General Mr. Spencer Wu introduced to Scott Wang the plan of the "2012 World Trade Center Association (Chongqing) Development Forum" to be host and held by Chongqing World Trade Center during "Fifteenth CCISF", and expressed thanks for the support from the headquarters. Scott Wang said during the "CCISF", World Trade Center Asian Region would strengthen cooperation with the Chongqing World Trade Center, and assist the activities for brand promotion of the World Trade Center to the western region of China.

Scott Wang expressed affirmation and support for Chongqing WTC after its reorganization. He said that the Asia-Pacific region had become the leading force in international trade and economic development. Therefore, in the Asia-Pacific region, World Trade Center further expanded business scope and network, established the Chinese website and microblog platform, which promoted exchanges and cooperation between members of the World Trade Center and China, as well as among regional World Trade Centers. He said that the headquarters would continue to support the Chongqing World Trade Center, and help improve it as a global trade platform.
