Liao Xiaoqi

Liao Xiaoqi, Chairman, China World Trade Center (Beijing)

Mr. Liao Xiaoqi was appointed as the Chairman of China World Trade Center in Beijing focusing the work of the Board on governing and performing its oversight role of Management.

He has been actively involved in international trade and economic relations and has extensive experience with the multinationals, many trade bodies and organizations, domestic corporate sectors, and the benefit of having established extensive contacts with local government and business leaders.

Mr. Liao Xiaoqi's work experience includes serving as Senior Officer of the Policy Research Office of the State Construction Committee, Director of the Policy and System Department of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation and was later named as Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. He also served as Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Lithuania, Deputy Director of the State Science Technology and Education Leading Group, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China. In addition, he was a committee member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Mr. Liao Xiaoqi graduated from Peking University.
